Membership is the lifeline of the Institute whose main objective is to serve its students and members by initiating practical and quality training programmes to equip and upgrade the profession of business administration and management globally.

Members of the Institute are designated as Professional Managers & Administrators and are recognised by their qualifications, experience and competencies into the following grades of membership:

IPMA Country Representatives will periodically organise forums and social events to create a powerful networking forum that will greatly benefit all members and students

Student Member
This is for individuals aspiring to join the profession of business administration and management by undergoing an IPMA study programme to prepare them for entry into the profession. Please refer to Course & Entry Requirements for details.

Associate Member (AMIPMA)
Possess an IPMA Diploma or its equivalent from a recognised institution with two (2) years of experience as an executive or manager.

Member (MIPMA)
Possess the IPMA Advanced Diploma or its equivalent from a recognised institution with three (3) years of experience as an executive or manager. Diploma holders with five (5) or more years of senior management experience can also be accepted for this grade.

Fellow (FIPMA)
This is a privileged membership grade to recognised public-sector, as well as, private-sector senior managers and administrators who have demonstrated a high level of integrity and proficiency in, and contributed significantly to, the practice of business administration and management in the organisations they served. Candidates for this grade of membership should be in possession of the IPMA qualifications or their equivalent and aged 32 years and above.

Honorary Fellow (Hon.FIPMA)
The Honorary Fellowship is the highest grade of membership of the Institute and is reserved for top national and international dignitaries and corporate leaders who have achieved exceptional success in the field of business administration and management. Membership is strictly by invitation only.
